LISA Academy High School Recognized as a 2011 NCEA Higher Performing School

The National Center for Educational Achievement (NCEA), a department of ACT, Inc., recognized LISA Academy High School as a 2011 NCEA Higher Performing School. LISA Academy High School received Higher Performing (HP) recognition in the following areas:

- Higher performing based on growth in Math
- Higher performing in both Advanced and growth in Literacy

The Higher Performing Schools (formerly known as Just for the Kids Schools) are identified by two measures: consistent improvement in student achievement from previous years (growth) and/or absolute student achievement using the school's advanced performance results on the spring 2010 Arkansas ABE (Augmented Benchmark Examinations). NCEA's higher performing methodology controls for school and student demographics to allow for an apples-to-apples comparison of school achievement and to demonstrate that with the commitment of educators, all schools can have success no matter the zip code. NCEA provided award certificates to each Higher Performing School and the district.

What is Net Price Calculator?

The Net Price Calculator is a tool that you can use to estimate your “net price” to attend a particular college or university. Net price is the difference between the “sticker” price (full cost) to attend a specific college, minus any grants and scholarships for which you may be eligible. Sticker price includes direct charges (tuition and fees, room and board) and indirect costs (books and supplies, transportation, and personal expenses). read more . . .

ACT/SAT and PSAT/PLAN Study Programs at LISA Academy High School

SAT/ACT and PSAT/PLAN Test Preparation is an integral part of a Comprehensive College Planning program. Not only does an impressive test score open more doors from a College Admissions standpoint, but it can also be instrumental in receiving merit scholarships, especially when coupled with a solid GPA.

While there are now over 400 colleges that advertise “Test Optional”, our recommendation for SAT/ACT and PSAT/PLAN Test Prep waivers little. With few exceptions, every student should prepare for these important standardized tests – both the SAT and the ACT. We’ve developed a Study Program Schedule for students to follow that helps them prepare for these tests and improve their test score performance.
