Please note:
  • If you have tested positive for COVID-19 and are in isolation, are a Probable Close Contact and are in quarantine, or have any symptoms, please do not enter a school building.

Updated Quarantine/Isolation Guidance Based on AR Dept. of Health and DESE - January 6, 2022
New guidance for schools in Arkansas regarding isolation and quarantine timelines for COVID-19 have been updated by the Arkansas Department of Health and DESE. Key components of the new guidance include:
  • Isolation period for those who test positive has been reduced from 10 to 5 days (with stipulations)
  • Quarantine period for those exposed to someone who is positive has been reduced to 5 days (with no symptoms and other stipulations)
  • Definition of "fully vaccinated" to avoid quarantine for those 18 and older now requires the booster in addition to the primary series.
Please review the entire document to understand the new guidelines. Staff and students who are currently under isolation/quarantine will be contacted to modify return to school dates if appropriate under the new guidelines.  If you have specific questions regarding your own circumstances, feel free to contact your school nurse or our District Point of Contact, Luanne Baroni, at Baroni@lisaacademy.org

All eligible students and staff are encouraged to receive the COVID-19 vaccinations and/or booster (more information from Arkansas Children's hospital linked below); masks are still required to be worn by students and staff.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation. Together we can help keep our LISA Academy family safe, healthy and ready to learn during this time.

School Communication Regarding COVID-19:
LISA Academy has designated a District Point of Contact to serve as the liaison with the Department of Health and has a process in place to minimize risk in our schools.  If there are cases associated with students or staff in our school district, the student or staff member will be notified by health department officials.  For the privacy of our students and staff, the district will not be sharing any information with anyone who is not directly impacted.  We will be following the guidance provided by CDC, DESE and ADH.
